From thread to non-profit

In 2013, a single social media page was created to answer basic questions about Calgary winters and local neighborhoods. As thousands of families arrived, those digital conversations transformed into real-world support systems.

Today, we operate as a registered non-profit organization. We coordinate seasonal settlement drives, host cultural celebrations, and maintain peer-led guides that help families find their footing without institutional gatekeeping.

We do not charge fees or gatekeep resources. We are simply Calgary locals helping the next generation of newcomers build a home here.
